My 6 Day Weekend....

Thursday consisted of a lot of driving (I may or may not have gotten a sore throat due to excessive singing....) followed by lots of relaxing with the fam. And then something that wasn't a very big deal happened.....my BFF got ENGAGED!!!!

Friday there was a lot of relaxing again (my perfect kind of weekend!) and hanging out with this cute girl ALL DAY, I know you're jealous! P.S. check out those chunky thighs....I wish I could pull them off like this girl does!

Saturday we went on a girls shopping trip! It would be an understatement to say that I'm deprived of good shopping in Idaho....I mean there's not even a Nordstrom!! Nikki hadn't gotten Tyler's Valentine's gift so we paid a visit to Build-A-Bear (she has never made one before....what a shame.). This is her wishing on the 2 hearts that went inside....so precious.

Harper obviously adored her first trip......(check out her HOT mama!)

Saturday night we made homemade pizza! We decided to invite the boys to that party.
And night time always consisted of this adorableness.....unfortunately the Harps couldn't sit still for a whole Dr. Seuss book, it was just too much to handle.

Sunday was church of course along with eating good food and having family time. Oh and I hung-out with this pretty girl some more (the hat is out of her v-day package from her sweet nana :)

Monday I got to go hang-out in Nikki's second grade classroom for the day...always an adventure but I absolutely love it and can't wait to start my own career with children. This is a piece of art made by my favorite student of hers (not that I pick favorites or anything.). Most of the kids were glueing hearts and writing I love you on their Valentine bags, but this guy decided to make Copet aka Cupid (how adorable is that!?)

Then on Tuesday I sadly had to head back to the Burg. But I did manage to get 31.1 miles to the gallon for a small portion of the drive...I was so proud that I even took a picture.

I get to fly home to Washington in 6 days with Courtney and Harper and I am ecstatic! So here's to spending time with my best friends....my family.

LOVE......

(this obviously came off of pinterest...how embarrassing)

That's what Valentine's Day is all about, is it not? A lot of single people are haters of V-day...I am definitely not one of them. There are so many more people to love than just a boyfriend or husband. I may not have a man to snuggle with on this day, but I do have some best friends to talk with, laugh with, and sing man hate songs (don't judge...you know you've done it!!) at the top of my lungs with! And what did those best friends and I spend Valentine's Day doing you may ask? Went to watch this lovely man on the big screen along with about 98% of the Rexburg/Idaho Falls population...........

It wouldn't be Valentine's Day without eating my body weight in chocolate from the two bags of candy from my mom's lovely V-day care package, or a pair of annual valentine sockies!

Even the Harps received a Valentine package from her awesome Nana!

And am I the only one who has missed elementary Valentine crafts (I made this when visiting my sister's second grade class...oh how I love children!)??

So here's to having a happy valentine's day whether you are single, married, or in the "it's complicated" phase!!
P.S. next I will be posting about my amazing 6-day weekend!

I Miss This!

I miss my BFF falling asleep in my lap while watching T.V. with me (just a side note....my red eye corrector made Harper's eyes look like they are creepily open when in fact she is sound asleep)

I miss shopping and talking for hours with my big sister.....

And I miss laughing until I cry with my oldest sister...... (Aren't my sisters BeAuTiFuL!?)

But have no worry.....this weekend I will be reunited with them (plus my two favorite brother-in-laws and big brother!!)! I'm preparing myself for the best weekend everrrrrrr in UTAH! My family members have always been my best friends and although I wish I could spend my weekend with all of them.....this will definitely do!!

My family is seriously the absolute BEST and we always have a blast together! (I just want to make a little shout-out to the newest member of our family....TYLER who is not in the pictures above because he was not yet a member of the fam). Basically I'm really looking forward to getting out of the bubble for a weekend and spending it with some of my favorite people. So here's to laughing until I cry with some of my best friends!!

Riding Solo

So here's the thing...I'm single. Some people here in Rexburg would think this to be a shame, but I think quite the contrary. Of course I want to get married someday but I'm not in a rush like many of the girls here. Believe it or not I enjoy the single life. I have eternity to be married but I only have the next few years of my life to enjoy the single life right?
I mean when else in my life am I going to be able to.....

Have a whole wall in my apartment devoted to Justin Bieber?
Or stay up until the wee hours of the morning watching chick flicks with my girls while lounging in our footie pajamas?
Or how about having a bedroom that is 97% pink?
And what about deciding on a Wednesday night that on Friday you're going to take a spontaneous weekend trip to Vegas with your best friends?
The answer is NEVER. Never again am I going to be able to experience things in the same way that I do when I'm living in an apartment full of my best girl friends (pictured below)! And someday I'm going to have more responsibilities, responsibilites that keep me from experiencing these things. In the words of my wise father: "You're only young once!". So that is why I'm enjoying this while it lasts and living in the moment! So here's to being young and riding solo...and loving every minute of it!

Thank Goodness it's FRIDAY!

Today the sun decided to pay Rexburg a visit and I couldn't be happier...it was a whopping 36 degrees out! And to top it all off it's a friday so my dateless roomies and I are heading to the theatre to pee our pants during Daniel Radcliffe's (a.ka. Harry Potter)  new scary movie The Woman in Black. Seeing as I'm not a fan of scary movies they may have to drag me in kicking and screaming. So here's to sunshine and scary movies!!

Making Memories

All my life I have been told that my college years is the time of my life that I'm going to be looking back at for the rest of my life. So seeing as I'm now halfway done with my sophomore year in college (talk about crazy!) I figured it was about time I start recording my memories so that one day I can look back at the fun and wild things that made up this wonderful chapter of my life. So here's to making memories!
