Recently I was talking to a friend of mine about how life
has seemed to go into ultra super-speed as of late. I mean I have practically
been in college for two years now! What happened to the little girl with curly
pigtails carrying around a Barbie lunchbox?? During this conversation someone
may have made the comment: “We have to live our lives while we still can
because we’re practically dead.” Now that was not meant in the negative and emo way
that it sounds. It just means that life is too short not to enjoy every moment.
Lately I feel like I have been wishing my time at BYUI away. I am always
counting down to the end of the semester and while it is always a relief to be
done with homework, studying, tests, and unimaginable stress levels, my time
here is something that I am going to look back at for the rest of my life and
wish I could do-over again, so why wish it away?? Even if it is a day full of
meetings, class, homework, studying, and test taking, it can still be a good
day! I think President Hinckley said is best: “Life is to be enjoyed, not just
endured.” What a wise man he was. Don’t just endure to the finish; enjoy the
journey! So here is to enjoying each and every moment life has to offer us!
